UACOR Tax referendum 2014

In accordance with the University Tax Policy for the major governing groups, each group must hold a student referendum to have the collection of the tax re-approved every three (3) years.

The taxes collected go toward a range of program offerings in support of community development in University Apartments that include socials, sports, holiday and cultural events, children’s activities, etc. UACOR also provides weekly programs and community events in collaboration with other MSU organizations.

Spartan Village building

We extend a very warm welcome to all new and returning residents. Living in University Apartments provides an opportunity to interact with neighbors from diverse ethnicity and nationalities; an important cross cultural component to our education here at MSU.

We want to reassure you that UACOR remains committed to being an effective resident government. While our primary role is to serve as residents’ advocate on issues which affect us, we believe our role in promoting a “spirit of community” and building social capital is vital to our collective well-being. So we invite you to join with us in creating a positive friendly environment for ourselves and residents.

We continue to provide ongoing program activities, such as Yoga, Tae Kwon Do, Totally Fit Aerobics and Aerobic Kickboxing for residents. We are open to widen the menu of programs to meet the needs and interests of residents. We also encourage residents to attend and participate in our monthly town meetings. These give us an opportunity to meet with you personally, hear your concerns, and bring the appropriate resource to you.

Good luck in your studies, enjoy your stay in Spartan Village!
